Last week was a good one:
-Made the first batch of popsicles of the season (this one is grapefruit w/ fennel seed infuesd honey!)
-Flew kites on the beach with my sister & her boy friend
-Saw my dear friend Missy and her boy friend Charles on their way back to Australia
-Wandered around Abbot Kinney and ate yummy food
-Went to the Wellsbourne with Krysta, Vince, Sara & Rocky
-Enjoyed drinks and ran around the Queen Mary
I’m not complaining…
Last weekend, I got up before the sun and headed toward the desert with some friends. Within a few hours we were at Red Rocks Canyon just outside Las Vegas, stuffing our backpacks and loading up with necessities for a couple days spent bouldering in the sun.
The hikes were easy, the climbs close together, and the rock was incredible to climb. Not to mention, the rock was so unique with it’s super red coloring and striped layers. Sadly, we only got to see a small section, but there is so much to see in other areas of the park.
If you’re ever in the area and tired of Vegas living, Red Rock Canyon is not only a beautiful climbing destination, but also a great place to hike and explore.
On Tuesday, I had my first ever Passover dinner with some friends. All the food was incredible and it was such a great evening…So grateful to have such wonderful people around me (who are, coincidentally, really good cooks as well).

Balsamic glazed strawberries with Marscapone
Manischewitz and, of course, wine
I found this awesome vintage tapestry at the Long Beach Flea Market a long time ago. Like 2 years or more probably. It sat in my projects pile for way to long before I finally made two throw pillow cases from it. Real happy these are in my life now…
